Who we are
About Pack 2
A Cub Scout pack in Holliston, Massachusetts, chartered by TODO: name of the chartering organization and run entirely by parent volunteers.
Pack 2 is one of two Cub Scout packs in Holliston. We take boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade, we meet at TODO: meeting location, and we run September through June.
A pack is made up of dens grouped by grade. Dens meet on their own schedule — usually a weeknight, at a leader's house or at the school — and the whole pack comes together once a month for a pack meeting, plus the bigger events on the calendar. Everything is run by parents. There is no staff and nobody is paid.

Common questions
Things parents ask
How much time does this take?
A den meeting every couple of weeks, a pack meeting once a month, and a handful of bigger weekend events across the year. Families come to what they can. Missing things is normal and nobody is keeping score.
Do I have to camp?
Cub Scout camping is family camping, so an adult comes along with each Scout. If sleeping in a tent is genuinely not possible for your family, talk to us — every year we work something out, and no Scout has ever been left behind over it.
Is this a religious organization?
Scouting America asks Scouts to do their duty to a higher power as they understand it, and leaves the definition to each family. Pack 2 has families of many faiths and families of none. We do not teach a particular religion.
What about safety?
Every registered adult completes Youth Protection Training and a background check, and training is renewed on a schedule. Two registered adults are present at every activity, and one-on-one contact between an adult and a Scout is prohibited. Our program follows the Guide to Safe Scouting.
How do you handle photos of my child?
We post group photos from pack events. We do not publish Scouts' last names or identify individual children by name. If you would prefer your child not appear in photos on this site, email us and we will honor that.
There is another pack in town. What is the difference?
Pack 47 is Holliston's other Cub Scout pack, and they are good people running a good program. Both packs do essentially the same Cub Scouting curriculum; the differences are meeting nights, size, and which families your Scout already knows. Visit both. Pick whichever feels right — the point is that the kid is in Scouting somewhere.
